When Waste Connections of Canada outgrew their original Kelowna office—located inside their active sorting facility—they turned to Plan B Contractors to design and build a modern new office space on-site. Completed in 2020, this 4,000 sq ft, two-storey building offers their administrative team a professional and comfortable environment, custom-built to support day-to-day operations. With a clean, neutral aesthetic and purpose-built functionality, the new space reflects the efficiency and values of a long-standing client relationship.
As Waste Connections of Canada expanded, its office staff had outgrown the workspaces embedded within their sorting facility. They needed a dedicated office building providing functional zones for team collaboration, client meetings, and staff training. Plan B was engaged for a full design-build project—delivering a two-storey, wood-frame structure with a concrete foundation. The main level features open workstations, reception, private offices, a kitchen, and a washroom, while the second floor includes a boardroom, training room, private office, and additional washrooms. Every element was tailored for modern utility with finishes that emphasized professionalism and comfort.
With a trusted relationship built over multiple past projects, Plan B collaborated closely with a long-time commercial development client and the Waste Connections team. Our in-house crews and designers led the project from concept through completion, selecting durable and stylish materials—including luxury vinyl plank flooring, a neutral-toned palette, and a T-bar ceiling system to match the brand’s values and daily demands. The result is a streamlined, highly functional space built to serve for years to come.
