Plan B Contractors transformed an empty commercial unit into a fully equipped, state-of-the-art veterinary hospital in just five months. This 3,500 sq. ft. facility features in-house surgery and dental suites, an x-ray room, a laboratory, a pharmacy, and treatment areas—plus boarding kennels and an isolation unit. With a seamless, hands-on approach, we delivered a turn-key space designed for both efficiency and exceptional animal care.
At Plan B, we build more than just spaces—we build relationships. Having worked with the National Veterinary Association (NVA) before, we were excited to take on another commercial design and build project with them. Their model of partnering with private veterinary practices to enhance operations aligned perfectly with our expertise in creating functional, high-performance medical spaces. Thanks to our existing relationship, the process felt like working with old friends. While every project comes with its share of adjustments—shifts in scope, budget tweaks, and scheduling changes—our team tackled each challenge with adaptability and problem-solving. The result? A cutting-edge veterinary facility built to serve the community and support exceptional animal care.
This commercial construction project was a milestone for Project Manager Chris Van Dassen, as his first large-scale clinic build. Our internal Plan B team, including skilled carpenters and site superintendents, collaborated closely with NVA’s intermediary project managers. While NVA handled specialized equipment procurement, we played a critical role in installation, ensuring seamless integration of treatment lights, dental x-ray systems, and custom millwork for cages. Our trusted sub-trades also contributed significantly, delivering high-quality craftsmanship and finishing details that set this clinic apart.
