Plan B Contractors transformed an empty commercial unit into a fully equipped veterinary clinic, requiring a complete interior buildout and essential medical infrastructure. The result is a modern space with a reception area, a high-ceilinged waiting room, treatment rooms, a lab, a surgery suite, an x-ray room, and a pharmacy. With careful planning and collaboration, we finished ahead of schedule, resulting in very happy clients!
With Kelowna’s Pandosy area continuing to grow, so did the demand for high-quality veterinary care—but meeting that need required more than just walls and floors. Southside Pet Hospital started as a shell, so our teams worked from the ground up to install specialized infrastructure, from medical-grade lighting to proper ventilation for surgical areas for this commercial build project. Not only did the design have to meet strict hygiene and safety standards, but it also needed to create a warm, welcoming environment for pet owners. It was a challenge, but by working closely with architects, engineers, and our valued sub-trades, we delivered a space that is both highly functional and visually inviting.
Led by Project Manager Chris Van Dassen, this project required collaboration at every stage. From architects and engineers to skilled trades, suppliers, and building management, each team played a key role in keeping this commercial build on track. Clear communication and problem-solving were essential—especially when unexpected challenges, like under-slab plumbing issues, arose.
