This project re-energized a historical landmark building in the heart of downtown Kelowna. Once the substantial demolition phase of the project was completed, we were able to construct a new fully glazed stairwell and elevator entrance to the multiple stories of the two connected buildings providing access to the new CRU spaces. With a building of this age, many challenges had to be overcome including a new increased electrical service and re-shoring the existing structure while structural upgrades were completed. We modernized the building with new mechanical, electrical and life safety requirements.
