Transforming the basement into a contemporary one-bedroom legal suite involved a comprehensive renovation. The project featured a meticulous demolition and reconstruction, enlarging and replacing the entry door, and upgrading interior doors. Enhancements included a new concrete parking pad extension and widened walkways for tenant convenience. Poly B piping was removed throughout the house. Heating, plumbing, and electrical components were supplied and installed according to the specified drawings, incorporating a new furnace, gas, and electric hot water tanks. The electrical upgrade included a new 200A panel for both the primary residence and suite. The project encompassed general items such as framing, insulation, drywall, door replacements, flooring, painting, and the integration of a central vacuum system. Notably, existing elements like the bathroom vanity were seamlessly repurposed in a sustainable approach. The primary residence laundry room was also revamped with new drywall, paint, and flooring.
